Battlestar Galactica Season 3
Last year I began to venture into the world of Battlestar Galactica thanks to the prodding of a good friend who also happened to own the first two seasons on DVD. There’s no word to fully describe my surprise when this show that I assumed was kitschy schlock turned out to be a dramatic and gritty sci-fi yarn that had me riveted for every single second of political and military intrigue.
Ever since school began I’ve been slowly working my way through season 3 and I’ve really enjoyed it. The first two seasons wee made up of longer story arcs of 5-6 episodes that built upon the main story, season 3 took criticism for moving to a more single episode centric approach. I really have no problem with the new format, I’ve gotten a great variety of plot lines and still some good overall story development that should lead well into the show’s conclusion after season 4.
