Sugarshock!
Dark Horse comics recently launched a new Dark Horse Presents series online as a venue for putting out web comics in partnership with myspace.com. I normally wouldn’t pay much head to what seems to be so obvious a publicity stunt, but some of the talent they’ve gotten is quite impressive.
Take for instance Sugarshock! An original IP from writer Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Astonishing X-Men) and Fabio Moon (Smoke and Guns) which is really just an oddball, interstellar battle of the bands/gladiatorial melee that doesn’t make too much logical sense but is a heck of a lot of fun.
