Drebin may be the most significant character gameplay-wise added to the roster of MGS4 so far. Imagine the weapons dealer from Resident Evil 4, but Metal Gear-ified. Now, instead of having to find the exact room that has that one awesome weapon you have two options, one; you can just disarm an enemy and take his gun (demonstrated at the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary party) and two; you can go to Drebin and just buy the gun you want.
The new Foxhound Unit led by Meryl is freaking awesome, those are the only words I can use to describe them. They’re like a mixture of Vertigo comic’s The Losers, mixed with Jack Bauer’s tac team from 24. Also, their name Rat Patrol is a reference to 1960’s TV show of the same name about allied raiders in WWII Africa.
Johnathan (the guy with the mohawk) is now second to Snake as being my favorite Metal Gear character.
Naomi Hunter is hot, there I said it.
