The War
Last night Ken Burn’s WWII opus The War began, I don’t get PBS very clearly so I’ll be waiting for Christmas and the nice, big DVD box set PBS is putting out next Tuesday.
Early word on The War is that it’s incredibly boring and not living up to the hype. Personally I’m ok with boring if it’s a.) well done, b.) detail-filled and c.) educational. I have absolutely no doubt that Ken Burns can pull those criteria off. However I haven’t seen it yet so there’s always the possibility that I’m completely wrong and that it sucks.
